Communication & Privacy Policy
Platform/Website: TK NSW Providers/Thrivingkidsnsw.au
Last updated: 10 October 2026
TK NSW Providers/Thrivingkidsnsw.au respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and manage information submitted by providers, referrers, families, and other visitors.
By using this website or submitting a form, you acknowledge this policy. Where we ask for consent, you can choose whether to provide it. Please do not submit personal information that is not needed for your enquiry, listing, or requested communication.
1. Who we are
TK NSW Providers/Thrivingkidsnsw.au is a privately operated website and independent information and visibility directory. We are not a government website, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Australian Government or any government department or agency.
The term “Thriving Kids” and the related program are owned, administered, or used by the Australian Government. ThrivingKidsNSW.au does not own that term or program and does not represent itself as the official government program or service. Our website provides independent directory and information services.
2. Information we may collect
Depending on how you use the website, we may collect information such as:
- Providers and businesses: business or provider name, contact person, email address, phone number, website, service categories, service locations, listing details, and information you choose to provide for publication in a directory listing.
- Referrers and professionals: name, organisation, professional role, contact details, areas of interest, and preferences for updates or other communications that you request.
- Families and other visitors: information included in a message, enquiry, feedback, or form submission. Please avoid sending sensitive information about a child or family unless it is necessary and the form specifically requests it.
- Website and technical information: information that may be collected through ordinary website operation, such as browser or device details, pages visited, and basic usage data, depending on the website tools and settings in use.
We aim to collect only information reasonably needed to operate the website, respond to requests, manage listings, and provide communications users have chosen to receive.
3. How we use information
We may use submitted information to:
- create, verify, maintain, update, or remove a provider directory listing;
- display provider information that the provider has supplied or authorised us to publish;
- respond to enquiries, requests, complaints, and support messages;
- send updates, service information, or offers where the user has requested them and provided the relevant consent;
- administer subscriptions, payments, cancellations, refunds, and account-related requests;
- protect the website, prevent misuse, maintain records, and meet applicable legal obligations.
We do not promise that a listing will result in referrals, enquiries, clients, or business outcomes. Directory visibility is the service provided under the applicable listing plan.
4. Information shown publicly in listings
A provider listing may display business information such as the provider or business name, service description, categories, service locations, website, and contact details selected for publication. Do not submit information for public display unless you are authorised to do so.
Providers are responsible for ensuring that the information they submit is accurate, lawful to publish, and does not breach another person's privacy. Contact us if you believe information on a listing is inaccurate or should be removed.
Information submitted privately through a contact or signup form is not automatically intended for public display. We use it for the purpose explained at the point of collection, subject to this policy and applicable law.
5. Email, SMS and electronic communication and consent
Where a form offers an option to receive email updates, news, or offers, consent is voluntary. By choosing the relevant consent option and submitting the form, you agree that ThrivingKidsNSW.au may contact you by email, SMS or other electronic messages (including mobile notifications) for the purposes described beside that option.
You are not required to agree to promotional communications merely to browse the website. If consent is optional, leaving the consent box unticked means you are not signing up for those optional emails. We will not treat silence or a pre-ticked box as consent where the law requires express consent.
We aim to send only relevant communications that users have chosen to receive, and to avoid unnecessary or excessive contact. We respect the Australian Spam Act 2003 and applicable privacy and electronic-message requirements. We will identify the sender and provide a functional way to unsubscribe from commercial email where required by law.
We may still send essential, non-promotional messages needed to administer a listing, subscription, payment, security matter, or a request you have made. These operational messages are different from optional marketing updates.
6. Unsubscribing from emails
You can unsubscribe from optional email or SMS communications at any time on our Unsubscribe page (/unsubscribe), by using the unsubscribe link in a message, where provided, or by contacting us using the details on the website.
Once your unsubscribe request has been processed, we will stop sending you the relevant optional email communications and will not send further emails of that type unless you choose to subscribe again by visiting the website, submitting the relevant form, and providing consent. We may retain a minimal suppression record where reasonably necessary to ensure that we continue to respect your unsubscribe request.
Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not automatically cancel a paid provider listing or prevent essential messages about an active listing, transaction, or request.
7. Disclosure and service providers
We do not sell personal information to third parties. We may share information with service providers who help us operate the website and deliver requested services, such as website hosting, form processing, email delivery, payment processing, analytics, or technical support. These providers should only receive information needed for their role and may handle it under their own privacy terms.
We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the website. We do not claim that information can never be accessed or disclosed in these circumstances.
8. Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. However, no website, online transmission, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including legitimate business, accounting, dispute-resolution, security, and legal needs. Where appropriate, information is deleted, de-identified, or securely disposed of.
9. Access, correction, and removal requests
You may ask us to access or correct personal information we hold about you, or request removal of information from a provider listing, subject to legal and operational requirements. We may need to verify your identity or authority before acting on a request.
Please contact us through the contact details published on TK NSW Providers/Thrivingkidsnsw.au. We will consider and respond to requests within a reasonable period and in accordance with applicable law.
10. Cookies and analytics
The website may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for site functionality, preferences, security, or analytics. The types of technologies used depend on the website configuration and third-party tools enabled. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, although disabling some cookies may affect website functionality.
11. External links
The website may link to external websites or third-party services. We do not control those websites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or security. Please review their policies before providing information to them.
12. Children’s privacy
TK NSW Providers/Thrivingkidsnsw.au is intended to provide information and directory visibility for services, families, referrers, and professionals. We do not ask users to provide unnecessary personal or sensitive information about children. Parents, guardians, and professionals should take care not to include identifying or sensitive details about a child in public listing fields or general enquiries.
If you believe personal information about a child has been submitted to us inappropriately, contact us so we can review the matter.
13. Cancellation policy for visibility directory listings
Providers can request cancellation of their paid visibility directory listing at any time. Unless the applicable plan terms state otherwise, cancellation stops the plan from renewing, and the listing plan remains active until the end of the already-paid billing period or due date. No further renewal payment should be taken after the cancellation has been processed.
Cancellation does not automatically entitle a provider to a refund for the remaining part of a billing period. Refund requests are handled under the refund policy below and any applicable consumer law.
14. Refund policy for providers
Paid provider plans are for visibility through the TK NSW Providers/Thrivingkidsnsw.au directory, including state-wide visibility in New South Wales and potential broader visibility through associated or nationwide directory exposure where included in the plan description. The service is directory visibility, not a guarantee of referrals, enquiries, clients, rankings, or business results.
If a provider has paid and wishes to request a refund, they should contact us within 24-48 hours of payment. Where the request is received within this period and the listing has not yet been processed for activation, we will review the request and, where applicable, arrange a refund and stop the listing from being processed for activation.
If listing activation or processing has already occurred, or a request is made outside this period, the request will be assessed individually and in line with the plan terms and applicable Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To request cancellation or a refund, contact us using the contact details published on the website and include the provider/business name, payment date, and relevant order or transaction details. Do not send full payment-card details by email.
15. Free access for referrers and families
Referrers, families, and other users can browse and use the directory’s family- and referrer-facing information services free of charge, with no subscription fee for that access. Paid plans apply to provider visibility listings or other services where the website clearly states a fee.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, website features, or legal requirements. The latest version will be published on this page with its updated date. Please review it periodically.
17. Contact us
For privacy questions, access or correction requests, listing removal, unsubscribe requests, cancellations, or refund enquiries, contact us using the contact details published on TK NSW Providers/Thrivingkidsnsw.au.
Advertising measurement
We use Google Ads (Google LLC) conversion tracking to measure how our ads perform. When you visit after clicking a Google ad, Google may set cookies and receive details such as the pages you view, buttons you click and whether you complete actions like signing up or activating a listing. This is used only for ad measurement and optimisation. You can opt out of personalised ads at https://adssettings.google.com.
Providers pay for directory visibility and that payment does not constitute government approval, accreditation or referral.
